Looks like the Apple iPhone is making some progress in the software front, because version 1.0.1 is now available for download. This update can be acquired through iTunes and it is designed to “fix bugs” that were present in the original firmware.

One of the most major changes that you’ll see is a patch that “closes the big Safari security breach discovered last month” (which allowed malicious pages to take total control of your iPhone).

The update will also put you back through the activation process, provide you with YouTube list support, and allow you to finally get your exchange server to show up. People have also found that the iPhone is slightly more stable now too.
