In just about every other way, the Rockit! Mini player is identical to the unit marketed by Cupertino, measuring 1 1/4″ x 1 5/8″ x 1/2 “. The Rockit! Mini is capable of playing standard MP3, WAV, and WMA files, but it doesn’t show any love for Ogg Vorbis or AAC. The round navigation keys are also very similar to Apple’s offering. The 2GB and 4GB models will sell for $50 and $80, both of which come with headphones, a wall charger, and a USB cable.
On a related note, there is also the Rockit! MP4 player. The very compact personal media player comes with a squint-worthy 1.8-inch display, which you can use to view a variety of video and picture formats. Naturally, the Rockit! MP4 player can do the music thing too, as well as FM radio. The 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB versions will sell for $50, $70, and $90, respectively.
