No need to fumble with messy tapes, small storage cards, or blank DVDs, because there be a 60 gigabyte hard drive housed within the newly announced Everio HD3 camcorder from JVC. And yes, it does video in full HD.

The 3CCD camera is perfectly capable of capturing video at 1440×1080, stashing that high resolution goodness on its internal hard drive. Naturally, when you record at full HD, that hard drive space will get gobbled up a lot faster than if you downgrade yourself to standard definition. Even so, if you go all out and shoot only the best, JVC still promises that the 60gigs will be enough for seven hours of family memories. Not too shabby at all.

Rounding out the features are digital shake reduction, aperture and shutter priority settings, HDMI output, FireWire, USB, a copy of CyberLink BD for authoring movies on Blu-ray discs, and a Class 6 SDHC expansion port. Price has been set at $1300.
