Bang & Olufson Beosound 6 MP3 Player Doesn’t Look Like Much, But It is

image_17111_largeimagefile Bang & Olufson Beosound 6 MP3 Player Doesn't Look Like Much, But It isThe team at Bang & Olufson didn’t exactly go out on a limb with the physical design of their latest MP3 player — the Beosound 6 — but you can be sure that it’ll be more expensive than any of its direct competitors.

In terms of features, you’ve heard it all before. The small 65k color LCD display keeps you in the know as to what’s playing whereas the basic navigational keys underneath let you adjust the volume and sift through your content. It’ll probably support the usual formats (MP3 and WMA) and boast a basic USB connection. Like the Samsung K3 and the iPod nano, this too will rock 4GB of flash memory.

Doesn’t sound all that special, right? Well, you forget about the world class sound quality that Bang & Olufson promises, and you forget about the free leather case and A8 earphones that come as part of the package. Right… like that justifies the asking price of about US$800. No, that’s not a typo.
