Belkin USB Hub Offers Seven High-Speed Ports of Loving

Tired of all this iPhone hullabaloo? Yeah, me too. That’s why I’m glad to present the Belkin seven-port USB 2.0 hub. With so many accessories pouring out of your computer these days, I guess having just a couple of USB ports doesn’t cut it anymore.

This Belkin unit offers data transfer speeds as high as 480Mbps for USB 2.0 devices and up to 12Mbps for each USB 1.1 connection. There are seven ports in all, with two located on the top and five along the side. What I find particularly interesting and/or strange about this device is the fact that it doesn’t seem to take any sort of external power source, instead drawing all of its power via the USB cable connected to your computer. For this reason, I highly recommend against using this hub for high-draw devices.

No word on pricing, availability, or justification for the hole in the center.
