Logitech is easily one of the most recognized names in the computer accessory industry and it seems like they’ve done a wonderful job with these two webcams. Both the QuickCam 9000 for Desktops and the Quickcam Pro for Notebooks are functionally identical in virtually every way, except that they take on different form factors to best suit the desktop or laptop environment.

MacBook Pros may now be getting the 1.3 megapixel treatment, but these Logitech Quickcams bump the resolution to an “HD-quality” 2.0 megapixels. What’s more, both of the new cameras boast Carl Zeiss optics, 720p video, and a silent autofocus system that is said to be much more fluid than the Apple counterpart.

They’ve got the sound side of things in order too with what they call the RightSound noise cancellation system. Rounding out the package are some “fun filters” and 3D avatars that mimic your lip movements. Look for these webcams to start selling next month for about $100 each.
