You want expensive, you’ve got expensive. The Vertu line from Nokia is easily one of the most expensive series of cell phones I have ever encountered and the Vertu Ascent is no exception. As with the rest of the Vertu line, the main draw here isn’t about the exact technical specifications and features. No, it’s about having something that is very expensive, very elitist, and very rare.

Checking out the hands-on video below, we discover that the build quality is absolutely astounding and the sapphire crystal display is simply amazing. Because of all this stainless steel and leather, however, the Vertu Ascent is far from being the lightest handset on the block. But hey, that’s the price you pay to mate rugged toughness with absolute elitism.
