You’ve got to love the names of some of these Asian manufacturers, because they sound totally dorky when brought over to our side of the Pacific Ocean. Super Talent is one prime example, but their product line is actually pretty nifty. The recently announced range of solid state disks (SSD) — those are basically flash-based hard drive replacements — is going to be offered in capacities ranging from 4GB right up to 128GB.

These flash drives are supposed to directly replace any IDE 2.5-inch hard drives, meaning that you can plunk them in just about any modern laptop, providing you with a more stable, faster, and more power efficient computing experience. The interesting thing is that when someone took a stroll down Akihabara way, they discovered that both the 8GB and 16GB models were exactly the same price: about $480.
