We keep hearing how bar codes are the future of mobile purchasing. The makers of the Opticon H-16 believe that as well.
This is a larger-type phone that boasts a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a rather large LCD. It can run Wi-Fi and Windows Mobile 5.0 (which, naturally, includes mobile Office features like Outlook, Excel, and Word).
More to the point, though, is the barcode scanning potential, of which the Opticon H-16 has more than a fair bit. That kind of functionality makes inventory-taking a snap, since you can identify missing stock and call for it without having to switch devices.
