Every dog has his day. Some get to actually drive.

No, this isn’t some kind of warm-weather Iditarod event. It’s actually a contraption that some brave person invented to make it even easier for lazy people to get from place to place. See, the dog is actually driving the train here, creating the energy that makes the scooter go. If you look closely, you can see bars on either side of the scooter, so you could theoretically use two dogs to really get your heart rate up as you try to keep them both on the same cadence. (Good luck with that!)

The scooter does have brakes on it, just like a bicycle, so you’re not totally at the mercy of your dog, even when he or she takes off like a shot after a squirrel or a cat or a car or another dog or … well, you get the idea.

Intrigued enough to buy? It’ll set you back US$240.
