Security Software to Protect Symbian Mobiles from Viruses, Spam

If you build it, they will hack.
You wouldn’t think of it normally, but your mobile could be just as vulnerable as a laptop or PC to viruses and malware. With many more phones boasting email and/or Web capabilities these days, the market is definitely there for viruses that target mobiles. Although not nearly as common as computer spam, SMS spam does exist. And where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
Grisoft, a security software company, estimates that 350 mobile phone viruses are floating through the airwaves these days. The company has released AVG Mobile Security, a free suite of programs for Symbian UIQ 3.0-based mobiles. The software protects your mobile against viruses and spam, among other things.
