WordPress Blogging Goes Mobile with AdMob

WordPress is a very popular blogging platform — I use it myself — and so this news may be of particular interest to all those people out there who must know about everything Web 2.0. Andy Moore, creator of Web2Txt, has teamed up with AdMob to create a free mobile plug-in blogging tool for the WordPress community. This creates mobile-friendly versions WordPress-powered blogs.

Not only will the plug-in allow bloggers to quickly mobilize their sites, they will also be able to “monetize their content from advertising revenue via optional AdMob advertisements inserted in posts.” Google Adsense isn’t the only way to go, don’t you know?

By taking your blog into the mobile realm, you have an opportunity to extend the reach of your content to people on the go. It also works the other way around, granting you the ability to publish posts and upload files from your cell phone. From your mobile, you can also configure the appearance of the mobile site, enable comments, adjust advertising, and access real-time reports.

A beta version of the plug-in can be found on Andy Moore’s site.
