We’ve been waiting for official pictures for some time now. Concept sketches got our mouths watering, unofficial live pictures got our hopes up, and spy videos got us excited. But nothing is quite like getting your hands on official pictures of the all-new Mitsubishi Evo X, and that’s exactly what we have today.

Granted, it seems like not very much has changed since we first saw this car some time back. The front still looks hot and the profile is still reminiscent of a Skyline R34, but I still think that the rear is considerably more tame-looking than the rest of the car. This aggressive AWD vehicle comes equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged engine with MIVEC3 valve control and an all-new six-speed “automated manual” transmission.

The Evolution X is expected to launch in North America (US only?) during Q1 of next year.
