The Clix portable media player from iRiver was sexy enough already, so the question on many people’s minds was whether the successor — the Clix 2 — would live up to the original. The answer is apparently a resounding yes! They replaced the LCD with a “gorgeous” 2.2-inch AMOLED, and increased the video frame rate to a very respective 30fps.

In addition to music (MP3, WMA, OGG) and video (WMA, MPEG-4), the Clix 2 also rocks a picture viewer, a text file viewer, an FM tuner (with recording), and Flash games (including Frogger). Other key features include USB 2.0, voice recording, and up to 24 hours of battery life.

Based on the lengthy review provided through the Read link below, the iRiver Clix 2 is one beautiful machine. It’s about the size of a mint dispenser, about 2cm shorter than a RAZR. The AMOLED display is “crisp and bright”, the menu interface is text-based, and the equalizer settings can be customized to suit your preferences. All in all, the Clix 2 comes “highly recommended” by the reviewer.
