All’s fair in love and tech war? Maybe, if you listen to Cisco lately.

With the iPhone copyright battle over, the two companies are moving closer together, working on ways for the identically named products to collaborate as well. For example, under the agreement signed in February, Apple’s iPhone will work with Cisco’s existing corporate phone systems, which is a straight line to the Cisco iPhone’s IM and teleconferencing capabilities.

That’s a far cry from the ugly language that came out of Cisco headquarters a few days after Steve Jobs’s Apple iPhone announcement. It’s also a sign that Cisco has come to its senses and sees a vast revenue potential in affiliation with the Apple product, which many analysts see as a runaway success when it is introduced in June.
