
In terms of features, the 1.3 megapixel camera and integrated media player have been tossed out the window. The software side remains the same, though, with identical access to instant messaging (AIM, Yahoo!, and Windows Live), text messaging, HTML web browsing, myFaves, and wireless e-mail. Because they’ve taken out some of the hardware, the SKiD achieves slightly better battery life than the SK3, getting 5.3 hours of talk time and 6 days of standby.
The T-Mobile Sidekick iD retails for half the price of the Sidekick 3. Get it starting April 25 for $99.99 with a “qualifying two-year contract and mail-in rebate.”
