Free mobile calls on a unified network, and mobile advertising is the way it will be paid for.
Think of it as Skype for mobiles. It even has a similar name. It is Blyk, and it will soon be upon us—the European us, that is.
The company, founded by a former Nokia president, aims to roll out the service Europe-wide this summer. We’ll know more details as the release date gets closer. The target audience is supposed to be youths who eat, drink, and sleep with their mobiles nearby.
