Sigma Unveils the Biggest f2.8 Telephoto Lens Ever

No, that is not a funky Photoshop designed to make you laugh: that’s the actual product. Yes, the Sigma APO 200-500mm F2.8 EX DG is one gigantic telephoto lens. It’s so big, in fact, that it needs its own handle. Otherwise, it may just tear your camera apart by hanging off the end like that. With a telephoto lens this size, you’ll probably need to upgrade the bag that you use to lug your photography gear around too.

You should also note that in addition to its ridiculously impressive size, this Sigma lens also features an LCD panel that tells you things like focal length and subject distance. I’d imagine it’s one hefty mofo, not just in terms of physical weight but price as well. Neither has been announced by the company.
