BMW has gone in with Google Maps for an easily updatable navigation system. The Drive Assist-equipped system in select BMW models can receive updates from your PC and translate them into instant course and/or map corrections, so you always have the most up-to-date listings in your vehicle of choice. You’ll use that functionality more, though, to upload your destination directly to the car, so you don’t have to spend precious time typing in coordinates or address info. The system, thanks to interfacing with your PC, has already uploaded the info and is ready for you to just get in and go.

You can designate your destination and get step-by-step directions, which is now a standard feature, really. But the system can also highlight points of interest and monitor traffic updates on the fly.
