Sony Rocks Walkman NW-E010 Series, Not Phones

That’s not the latest USB flash drive from Sandisk or the hot new lipstick from Loreal. While it may bear a rather minimalist design, the Sony Walkman E-010 Series is said to be just as powerful as the iPod nano… and in an even smaller form factor! Sure, they’ve tossed the idea of a big color display aside, but having a built-in USB 2.0 connector (just remove the cap) is certainly useful. Available in 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB capacities, the NW-E016 and E016F (the latter has FM radio) rock a simple 3-line LCD to keep you in the know.

They’ve also got a five band equalizer, Clear Bass and Clear Stereo, a quick charge feature (3 minute charge for 3 hours of music), and a rated battery life of 30 hours based on a full charge. To ship in violet, blue, pink, gold, and black, the Sony Walkman NW-010 series is set to start shipping in May. Pre-orders should be available now.
