All you naysayers who said Helio was on the verge of buying the farm can go ahead and hang your heads in shame. Not only is the joint venture alive and kicking, they’re growing. Helio is setting a few hot coals aside for tonight’s barbeque, because they’ve just launched the all new Helio Heat, another slim slider phone from Samsung.
While it bears a striking resemblance to its older brother, the Drift, the Heat does bring at least one new feature to the picnic table: touch sensitive colors a la LG Chocolate. Naturally, it’s got the usual host of knick-knacks as well, like Bluetooth, GPS, a 2-inch QVGA color display, 1.3 megapixel camera, and 136MB built-in memory.
The best part of all? It’s only $150.
