Many people trust the opinions of Consumer Reports for all sorts of things, whether you’re selecting your next computer or a replacement vacuum cleaner. Looking at the top ten picks for 2007 in the automotive industry, though, you’ll quickly notice that there are many notable names that are notably missing from the list. It’s not the top ten overall vehicles, but rather a list of ten segments and the top car in each.

Something that sticks out like a sore thumb is that there are no European, Korean, or American brands in that list. They are all Japanese. I’m proud to see the Honda Fit make the grade.
