One of the bigger complaints against the otherwise lovely BlackBerry Pearl is that it lacked a complete QWERTY keyboard, opting instead for that SureType nonsense. The BlackBerry 8800 directly addressed this QWERTY matter, while keeping the same svelte appearance and fun little trackball for navigation. Now that the 8800 is ready to attack the market, we’ve got to wonder how well it performs. These couple of videos attempt to answer those concerns.

As a refresher, this latest offering from Research in Motion comes equipped with a QVGA TFT display, microSD expansion slot, 64MB of internal memory, Bluetooth 2.0, and a 1.3 megapixel camera. It’s also got EDGE and an integrated media player, all in a reasonably slim and sexy package.
