This chip will allow you and every other user on the planet to watch real-time TV for four straight hours on an LG handset. That’s one more hour than currently available, for those keeping track.
Power consumption is projected to be much lower, from 250 megawatts to 150, while signal strength will increase by 30 percent.
And, assuming that you buy a DMB-capable device (which is what this whole thing is about anyway), you can use that handset to real-time traffic info in the form of text updates and perhaps even video.
But wait, there’s more. Here’s the mind-blowing part. You can watch two channels on the screen at the same time. Now, I would think that after four hours of watching two different things, your eyes would want to stay rolled over to the edges of their sockets, but that’s no matter. It’s all about the possibilities.
