Looks like Archos is ready to send us another PMP/DVR, because the Archos 705 is making its rounds at the FCC offices this week. The apparent follow-up to the 604 WiFi, the Archos 705 too has WiFi connectivity, but you’ll notice that it is substantially larger than its predecessors. Instead of a 4-inch widescreen, the 705 appears to be rocking a 7-incher. That’s quite a bit more display real estate, but it seems that all the buttons have been removed from the face of the player. I guess they must be the sides now.

They’re calling it the Archos 705 Mobile DVR, so it will clearly have some quick and easy personal recording capabilities built right in. The interface appears similar to before, but we can’t tell you whether this has the touchscreen of the 604 WiFi, or the run-of-the-mill non-touchscreen of the 604. More details to follow, I’m sure.
