The closest I’ve ever gotten to a flight simulator is one of those arcade games where I have a big control stick and a throttle. Yeah, a pilot I certainly am not. There is a huge following of flight simulator enthusiasts out there, but this one has really got to take the cake. At $230,000, it’s certainly not the cheapest solution, but it’s probably pretty close to the most complete.

Perfect for guys that just can’t seem to pass real-life tests, this flight simulator was designed by a crazy Aussie. In addition to the monumental 42-inch Philips Ambilight TV (you want realism, don’t you?), this also utilizes… get ready for this… 13 quad-core machines. That’s a lot of processing power, not to mention that this rig sits “on top of a crazy hydraulic setup that moves with the action.” I don’t even know where to begin with all those dials, levers, and switches. I’ll stick to Star Fox, thanks.
