This was a long time coming, but it’s nice to finally get some official closure on the issue. iPod-maker Apple Inc. has come to an agreement with The Beatles’ company Apple Corps Ltd. “concerning the use of the name “Apple” and the apple logos which replaces their 1991 Agreement.”

They haven’t disclosed the exact details of the settlement, but they have indicated that “the ongoing trademark lawsuit between the companies will now end, with each party bearing its own legal costs, and Apple Inc. will continue using its name and logos on iTunes.” The long and sort of it is that Apple Inc. will own all trademarks related to “Apple”.
