Microsoft Does Multi-Touch Displays Too (Video)

So the Apple iPhone has all sorts of good things going for it, but many of these aren’t particularly original or novel in and of themselves. For example, Microsoft has got itself a multi-touch display as well, except the current implementation isn’t in a cell phone. Instead, in the video demonstration which you can view below, the Redmond-based company has plunked the multi-touch goodness into Tablet PCs and UMPCs.

Certainly, that’s a touch bigger than the iPhone, but you’ve got to think if this is actually more functional. Rob Bushway talks with Hilton Locke of Microsoft about the technology which could very well be on its way to a tablet near you sooner than you may think. Stay tuned.
