There’s no denying that the absolute best noise-canceling headphones you can get are usually those that look like they belong to a club DJ. And here they are: the Sony MDR-NC60. They claim that this set of cans will offer “increased noise reduction compared to the NC50″, which preceded it.

In terms of raw number crunching, the noise canceling part of picture reads as 200Hz for 16.5dB on a 40Hz to 1.5kHz range. Greek to me, but sounds impressive enough. The speakers on either ear measure 40mm across, and in order to get the full noise-canceling experience, you’ll need to plunk those AAA batteries (about 30 hours of life). They retail for $199.
