Remote visual voicemail on your desktop

In addition that whole widescreen iPod business, one of the cooler features found on the upcoming Apple iPhone is Visual Voicemail, which lets you randomly access your messages without having to go in sequential order. You don’t need to wait until the June launch of the iPhone to enjoy Visual Voicemail, because CallWave has just unleashed its widget which achieves the same functionality and then some. In fact, you can access your voice mailbox remotely from your computer, “whether your handset is nearby or not.”

The widget appears on your desktop, providing you with a “visual notification when new messages arrive.” Personally, I spend almost all of my waking hours in front a computer screen anyways, so this is a great tool to keep me connected. Best of all, it’s absolutely free! The visual voicemail widget will work with “most service providers’ networks including Cingular, Verizon and T-Mobile, and over 30 others nationwide.”

Download CallWave’s Visual Voicemail widget for Apple Dashboard and Yahoo! Widgets here.
