Swedish bomb squad gets Segways

This wouldn’t fly in Holland.

Bomb squads in three Swedish cities have been given the green light to get around on Segway scooters, giving them a bit of a break from trudging around in those heavy suits all day. Malmo, Goteborg, and Stockholm police (including those at Stockholm’s Arlanda Airport) will get the iconic personal transport devices to help them get from place to place (including helping them get out of town if the defusing process doesn’t go according to plan).

The Segways are clearly marked Polis (police), so stealing one won’t do too much good, either way.
