Standard resolution? Ew. That’s gross. I’m all about high resolution baby, and that’s why this laptop is so darn appealing (well, it’s pretty physically attractive too).

If you’re in the market for a Blu-ray player, you may be better off ponying up the extra coin and getting the NEC LaVie C laptop instead, given that it packs in not only a Blu-ray drive but also an HDMI port for outputting those 1080 lines of high resolution goodness. There’s no denying that this is a higher-end notebook, and as such, the rest of specs match such a claim. To be powered by Windows Vista, the revitalized LaVie C comes equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 (2GHz) processor, a Radeon X1600 graphics card, and a 15.4-inch display rocking a 1280 x 800 resolution (I guess to enjoy the 1080p-ness, you’ll need to make good use of that HDMI port).

No word on price or availability otuside of Japan.
