Dodge Magnum SRT8

DaimlerChrysler has revealed the 2008 Dodge Magnum lineup at the Detroit Auto Show. Among the models are the R/T, SE, SRT8, and the SXT.

The SRT8 (pictured) is the new media darling, with its racing-styled look and its HEMI-powered engine. The multi-displacement system and cylinder deactivation save on fuel without sacrificing performance. Moreover, the hood, grille, hood scoop, and front fascia have been redone to reflect updated technologies.

Dodge says the SRT8 is family-friendly yet race-inspired vehicle that comes in silver, black, red, and metallic blue. That aforementioned HEMI is a V-8 that kicks in 425hp and 420 lb.ft. of torque, with the result an acceleration of 0-100 mph in less than 17 seconds.

The other models largely reflect the same set of innovations. All will be available shortly.
