They haven’t officially said who will be picking up these phones, but Samsung did announce the new (presumably America-bound) SGH-A727 slim candybar with HSDPA/UMTS and the i760 sliding smartphone with EV-DO.

Unveiled at CES 2007 in Las Vegas, the A727 is SLVR thin at just 4.5×2x0.35 inches, but it’s got itself some fat connectivity. The quad-band GSM candybar boasts both HSDPA and UMTS. Other key features include a 262k color display, 2 megapixel camera, and Bluetooth A2DP.

The BlackJack-like i760 is apparently heading to Verizon. It is said to run on Windows Mobile (Crossbow), allowing you to make regular phone calls in its closed position, while text messaging and emailing is made easy with its slide-out QWERTY keyboard. You’ll also enjoy 128MB of flash memory, 64MB of RAM, EV-DO, WiFi, Bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel camera, and microSD for expansion.
