The LG enV from Verizon seems more inclined to keep the text messaging and music lovers among us happy, but it is with new LG VX9400 that video watchers will want. Perhaps the greatest feature of this phone is that the fairly large color display can swing out to provide you with a landscape orientation, the only way that you should be watching video anyways.

According to Adam Frucci of Gizmodo, the stream is “very smooth and crisp, with no buffering, jerking, or digital artifacts that I could see while I played with it.” There are only eight channels currently — MTV, ESPN, Comedy Central, etc. — but it is a clear sign of things to come. Maybe mobile TV will finally catch on around here.
