The absolute best photographs are those that give you a sense of actually being there when the picture was taken, but all those regular (visible) wavelengths can get pretty boring after a while. Fujifilm doesn’t only want you to take some incredible pictures the normal way, but they also want to see things through the infrared spectrum. Enter the Finepix IS-1.

On the more normal side of things, it’s one incredible ultra zoom camera, letting you get in real close without actual getting any closer physically. After all, the optical zoom on this puppy is rated at 10.7x. ISO junkies will be glad to hear that it’ll handle ratings up to 1600.

The plan is to start shipping the Fujifilm Finepix IS-1 sometime next month with an estimated street price of $899.
