I have a set of wraparound Sony headphones that I love very much, and a big reason for that — other than its decent ability to pump up the bass — is that it has but a single cord. In this way, I don’t have to deal with messy tangles all that often. But what about regular earbuds? It can be quite a headache trying to de-tangle those cords after you wrapped it up. This video shows you the “right” way to coil them in the first place.

It’s actually quite simple. Start at the earbud end and start wrapping it around your hand, and then at about the halfway point, use the headphone cord itself and wrap around the bundle you’ve created. Finally, place the end (the stereo mini-plug) through one of the hoops and you’re good to go. Maybe even easier than that rubber separator thing that came with the VModa noise-cancelling earbuds.
