Too lazy to head back to the wheel and control your boat like how you’re supposed to? For folks like that, there is the Kota Wireless CoPilot. Sure, it may look like an unassuming key fob (not unlike those used for car alarms), but it essentially transforms your normal everyday yacht (’cause we all have one, given that we live on a blogger’s income) into a remote control speedster.

The controls are pretty basic — increase and decrease speed, steer to the left or the right, and turn the propeller on and off — but that’s pretty much all you need for that lazy Sunday of boating. Some have said that this could prove to be dangerous if it falls into the hands of terrorists (remote explosives?), but I’m much more interested in a completely different application: single-person water skiing.
