You have to admit, this concept phone is one of the most attractive we’ve seen in a long time. The most notable feature on the Eclipse is probably its slide-out transparent display. You’ll notice, however, that there are quite a few pieces missing from this puzzle.

For instance, the display isn’t color nor will it be able to rock out some nifty wallpapers (or any at all, for that matter). There’s no camera, no MP3 player, no mobile Internet. Instead, this simplest of the simple caters directly to those who want a fashionable calling machine and not a Swiss Army knife.

I love the look of the illuminated keypad, and how — when in its closed position — it looks more like a flask for gin or something than an actual working piece of technology. I’d imagine battery life on this would be great too. But alas, still a concept.
