Sure, you could pick up a slick new MP3 player any day, but the Gemei X27 offers a heck of a lot more functionality. It’ll also play movies, and — as you can guess from its form factor — video games. And oh, not just any old games either, as it is perfectly capable of running NES and Game Boy (Color) ROMs. We’ll skip over the legal ramifications of ROMs for now.

On to the specs. The display is 2.5-incher rocking a QVGA (320 x 240 pixel) resolution, whereas the on-board flash memory clocks in a one gig. Too anemic? No worries, because it’ll also swallow up additional storage space via the miniSD expansion slot. File support includes MP3, WAV, BMP, JPG, GIF, and MPEG media formats, but transfers may be on the slow side as it only boasts USB 1.1.

Here’s the product page, but methinks it’s Asia-only.
