The personal media player by Handheld Entertainment is now shipping, available at Amazon.com, Wal-Mart.com, and several other retailers. In short, the ZVUE 250 boasts a 2.5-inch backlit display, up to six hours of battery life on a single charge, dual earphone jacks for music sharing, and support for a wide variety of multimedia formats including MP3, WMV, WMA (DRM), OGG, MP2, AVI, ASF, Xvid, MPEG4, WMV, JPG, and BMP.

It’s won’t floor you with breathtaking features, but it is said to be “simple to use” with its “nice interface” and “great screen.” There doesn’t appear to be any on-board memory, so you’ll have to provide your own SD cards (they’ll get you started with a free 128MB card).
