Picture-happy Voxtel W740 smartphone packs 4 megapixel cam

Wait, I thought that Pocket PC phones were designed for business users to keep track of their busy schedules and manage their humongous business-related contact lists. The Voxtel W740 puts a different spin on the segment by tossing in a fairly beefy 4 megapixel camera. Naturally, it still comes with all that Windows Mobile stuff you’ve come to know and love.

As it does not have any form of QWERTY keyboard, all text entry (including dialing those digits) is done through the 2.4-inch QVGA touchscreen display. What this means, though, is that Voxtel has managed to keep the form factor quite small for the W740. Heck, the five-way navigator and call/end buttons look like they belong more on a fashionphone that a business-oriented Pocket PC phone. Rounding out the specs are Bluetooth and push e-mail.

Don’t quote me on this, but I’m thinking that the Voxtel W740 isn’t going to be heading to our shores any time soon (if ever).
