Considering that the iPod owns three-quarters of the MP3 player market, it’s no secret that Apple plays a fairly prominent role in people’s minds when it comes time to purchasing some sort of portable electronic device. Maybe that’s what holding back sales of UMPCs, making the ultra portable computer not so popular among the chic and trendy. That is just about to change.

Some guy named Igor managed to hack his way through an Asus R2H UMPC and get it run a version of Mac OS X 10.4.7. Forget about the “I’m a Mac and I’m a PC” commercials, because it seems that you can have the best of both worlds in the palm of your hand. No longer do you need to lug around a full-size MacBook to enjoy Safari, iChat and iTunes. Check out the vid for even some crazy Apple Remote action.
