Fujitsu shoves 300 gigs in 2.5-inch SATA hard drive

Just because you’re rocking the portable variant of a computer doesn’t mean that you need to restrict the size of your hard drive. Fujitsu has just upped the ante in the 2.5-inch department, offering a hard disk of the SATA variety with a whooping 300GB of storage capacity. In case that feels a little out of your league — they haven’t announced any kind of pricing information yet — they are also issuing a 250GB little brother.

Naturally, it doesn’t go round and round at a desktop-worthy 7200rpm. They don’t say explicitly, but my best guess has these new hard drives going at 5400rpm like most other laptop-ready HDDs. Now imagine if they stuffed something like this in a PMP…
