Ever since Rogers bought Fido, it seems like the sick puppy always comes up with the short end of the stick. Big brother Rogers gets the KRZR, the latest Walkman phones, and so on, whereas Fido gets, well, not much. QWERTY fans among Fido’s subscribers will finally have a decent option, though, as the Nokia E62 is said to be heading their way.

The Nokia E62 is nearly identical to the E61 sold overseas, but with one notable difference: the E62 doesn’t have WiFi. Other than that, it appears to be the same smartphone that is already gracing the shelves of Cingular and Rogers, so expect identical features. No word on pricing, but I’ll venture a guess of $250 with a three-year.

If you can’t wait and must have QWERTY, then Fido also has the aging LG 9200. A little behind, aren’t we? Verizon has the 9900 enV.
