Formerly run by Microcell Solutions but now owned by Rogers, Fido has picked up the same quad-band GSM LG Chocolate phone — the TG800 — that parent company Rogers has. In a nutshell, it is the tri-band KG800 with the 850MHz band swapped in for the 900MHz band to ensure North American friendliness. So, you get a 1.3 megapixel camera, integrated media player, 128MB of built-in memory, and no expansion slot.
They’re even selling it at the same price as Rogers: $150 with a three-year contract.
They say that giving chocolate to a dog is a big no-no. I think we can make an exception in this case.
