I don’t know about you, but I don’t like wires. My home phone is cordless, my home network is over WiFi, and so on, but there are several people who prefer the security of a wired solution. If you’re someone who is rocking a laptop that is notably missing a Gigabit port, you can now have that functionality via your ExpressCard slot, thanks to Methode’s dataMate.

The “High Speed Over Copper Gigabit Ethernet Adapter” is housed in a standard 34mm ExpressCard case, providing you with plug-and-play high-speed internet over a garden variety ethernet cable. You’ll be able to enjoy speeds ranging from 100Mbps to 1Gbs, depending on your network. Power comes from your PC.

No word on pricing, but you can grab more info from the Methode website.
