It seems that people are waiting longer at dentist offices these days, because short and sweet cell phone games just don’t cut it anymore. According to some research conducted by Nokia, mobile gamers are not only playing more often but they are also playing longer.

Apparently, 80% of people play a cell phone at least once a week, with a solid 34% playing daily. The average mobile gaming session is nearly half an hour. In fact, gamers in India typically play for 39 minutes at a time. That’s a lot of Bejeweled.

As such, more and more, people are looking for deeper and more graphic-intense gaming experiences, particularly “next-gen” Java 2D and 3D games.
