Okay, I’m sure that the jailhouse experience probably still won’t be particularly enjoyable, but those criminals are certainly starting to receive more creature comforts. The latest modern convenience to hit up British prisons is the cell phone. Turns out that the Lowdham Grange prison in Nottingham, England will soon be issuing out our favorite wireless communicator to inmates, giving them the ability to chat it up with loved ones back home, illegitimate children, and other affiliates in the outside world.

You’ve got to wonder, though, won’t this make it easier for the inmates to organize a prison riot? Or, to take a term away from a popular television show, a prison break?
