As I said in my review of the Archos 604 personal media player, having a device be USB Mass Storage Compliant is a very important feature for me. It seems that someone has figured out how to haX0r the Zune and get it to show up as a generic portable hard drive when plugged into a computer.

If you hop on over to ZuneBoards, you’ll discover that they’ve hacked Microsoft’s supposed iPod killer, but they have yet to tell you how to do it. So, for all the Zune owners out there, you’ll have to keep your eyes and ears peeled for a tutorial (hopefully a video), but in the meantime, you can smile at the possibilities.
